Preparation of Cu-Ni alloy by die pressing

Molding is one of the most common forming methods in press forming and can be used in the preparation of a variety of material systems. However, there are still some shortcomings in the application, for example, the size and shape of the product are limited, and defects such as component segregation are apt to occur.

The Cu-10Ni alloy was prepared by the molding method: the Cu powder and the Ni powder were first mixed at a mass ratio of 9.1, and then pressed and formed by a standard drawing die at a pressing pressure of 400 MPa. A Cu-10Ni alloy sample can be obtained by sintering a green compact under a hydrogen atmosphere in a tube furnace.
